Doesn’t really lather and takes a bit of work and plenty of water. While using it I was convinced that it was gonna rinse stripped however it left my hair feeling moisturized! Another reviewer wrote the experience as a “film” which feels like silk to my dry parched 4c hair. Ive never experienced this with any shampoo. Following this a conditioner is a must so don’t get it confused and skip it and end up with a Brillo pad the next day.

- Cleansing -- my scalp and hair felt great after, removed any buildup i had without feeling like it stripped too much
- Restored/refreshed some of my curl pattern too
- Nice scent, cute packaging
Disliked: I wouldn't go so far as to say I really disliked this but I did notice that it took a lot more shampoo than I'm used to using to get a good lather going. Considering that, I'm curious how many uses I can get from a bottle. I've also only used it twice so far though, and maybe in time can get a better read on how much/little to use each wash.
Overall, great product! Think I'll be using it as my go-to shampoo going forward!

This product leaves my hair really soft! The only downfall is I have 4C hair so the bottle should have a pump instead of a spray. Otherwise, I would be spraying for a while. I would highly recommend the product because it does work. Makes me want to try the shampoo.

If you have issues with thin hair and poor looking waves, Curl Elixer is the mother%#*@er for you.
It’s interesting how quickly word catches on. Seems like it was just yesterday when my homies ‘At Da Barbershop’, a shop in Bronzeville, Chicago, were knocking me for using this ‘lady product’ from a Howard U grad. Now all their clients use Sienna, more specifically the curl elixir. These are guys too.
They finally took my advice. They know this is the key to 540 waves. If you brush your hair, you shouldn’t overdo it. At least that’s what my AA dermatologists (Kaminska MD) says. Thing is, I like to keep a pool on my head, so I need to make sure my hair is moisturized. Since I brush throughout the day, I put about 5-10 squirts in my palm, rub it in my hand then over my head about 2-3 times a day. This gives you the absolute best results.
